What I’m up to these days….

Hello friends,

It’s Melanie (Lenie) sending you a short update about me. I apologize that I didn’t warn you that I was going to delete my Facebook account, and thus also deleting my Messenger account. I want you to know that you are important to me and I want to keep in touch.

Anyway, after the Trump inauguration on January 20,2025, I was so disgusted seeing the Tech Oligarchs standing next to Trump. It just showed what the next 4 years would be and I made a personal decision to engage in a personal act of resistance. I have not really used Amazon that much and could count less than 5 times buying something online. I don’t own a Tesla or have an X account. Meta products are on my list (thus, FB and Messenger). Unfortunately, I still have Instagram because I use that as my visual diary and I follow many accounts for creative inspiration.

I plan to send some kind of a newsletter, just to share what I’m doing and hopefully, you would like to reciprocate and share as well.

I’m working on getting my friends’ email and/or cell number and I will go back to the old way of keeping in touch- calling, writing people with a little help like this platform.
